EVE Online is a very excellent game, however we decided to make a list some aspects which might be (and in our opinion should be) changed for to make the game even better.
So here is what we would change and modify:
We believe it is fairly inconvenient that a player cannot see his character from aside; there are no different camera views in the game.
A player cannot ever see the face of an enemy.
We hope the developers will give players the possibility to view and conduct their characters in human body at stations.
There is a lot of static information on screen; even ships are often displayed as some dots.
Physics is not accurate in the game – ships or objects do not break or get damaged after collisions – they are just thrown apart from one another (the so called “bump”). There is also no gravitation in the game.
Though EVE Online is a role playing game and character development is a key necessity, PvE missions are very monotonous. Missions can be carried out an unlimited number of times so a player can just learn and remember all the steps in a mission, given by an agent.
There is no chance or randomness which was a pleasant feature in Diablo II, or instance.
So missions quickly become a fairly boring method of gaining in game money.
However some actions have been already taken in this regard. One time COSMOS-missions and Explorations mechanism, which allows discovering hidden locations, make this kind of activities more interesting. Some of such missions are very difficult and require participation of an entire guild.
The Apocrypha extension has also introduced “Epic Arcs” – epic missions bound by a common plot, which require moving across the entire galaxy in order to be carried out.
And the last we would like to mention about is the fact that the game does not have a global purpose, may seem indefinite and lacks a common story which exists in World Of Warcraft, for instance.
The excellent graphics can solely attract thousands of players and make forget about any other shortcomings, but we believe the above-mentioned deserves attention of the developers.

The Supreme Court of Korea has given the status of real money to in game currencies, such eve online isk. Buying or selling in game money has been recognized legal in this country.
The decision is fairly ambiguous.
On one hand, it will probably lead to development of online games, especially of those which, besides requiring real money for playing, have the potential for players or interested people to earn real money by selling in game objects.
On the other hand, there has lately been a trial of 2 young people for trading LineAge 2 in game currency (adena) for real money in Korea because real money trading by third parties is prohibited in nearly any game by EULA and Terms Of Use.
It is logical that if there is demand, there will be supply. If there are people who enjoy playing, process of a game and are ready to spend real money for that, there will be people who are more skilled and experienced in games and who will be able to send in game currency and objects to the first group of players at more attractive prices then the game developer.
There is real money trading of eve online isk in EVE, too. Actually, real money trading exists in any popular online game in spite of prohibitions.
One might think that this can bring loss to the developing company and can devaluate the in game currency and economy – the latter is more possible – this can happen if billions of eve online isk will be sold at a very cheap price. But there is no real threat for game developers – the possibility to earn real money trading virtual in game objects (be it eve online isk, wow gold or other currencies or items) will attract many more people into the game which is necessary for any game and which is the basis of income for developers.
Anyway this decision has to have effect on online games and the direction of their progress. Probably some period of time has to pass to be able to estimate it.

EVE Online is a very popular cosmic online game. Sometimes it is also named the largest MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) due to 2 reasons: first, there is only one game server which hosts all the players; and second – the game world is nearly immense and endless, it is huge as the cosmos is – there are over 5000 solar systems and new ones permanently appear.
It is very hard to explore the whole game space – it would take very much time, on the other hand it makes the game very attractive and keeps players interested for years.
A player new to the game may find it too aggressive and complicated; the game interface may seem unclear and overloaded. A huge number of stars, planets, ships which need to be modified, a lot of information to perceive and learn after one begins playing EVE Online – all these may confuse at the beginning, but after a player gets some experience and understands the main principles of EVE Online, the game brings a lot of fun and pleasure so that it is hard to tear oneself away from it.
Like in other MMO games there is much interaction among characters in EVE Online. A player can his own Alliance or become a member of an existing Alliance (corporation). Different corporations are in constant war with one another for resources and stations. Battles have a real cosmic scale in the game. And only those win who create a better tactics then the enemy.
However, there are other things to do in the game besides battles. EVE Online has an excellent economical model, the realism and power of which beats any other economy in any other game. Trade is highly developed. Thus those players who prefer to progress in a more peaceful way will have what to do in the game.
EVE Online has its own in game currency named ISK or Interstellar Credit. Any economical interactions can be realized by means of this instrument – eve online isk.
EVE Online ISK are, in fact, a sort of basis both for trade and character development. EVE Online ISK are needed and can be used for paying for subscription, for instance, for buying ships, items, modifications, characters, etc.

Agents are special NPCs, different for each race and faction, who assign players to perform various missions, and pay for them (also, different bonuses or equipment are given in case a mission is carried out within some timeframe – bonuses can be seen in mission descriptions). Agents differ in their level – the higher the level, the more difficult the missions offerred by them are, and the higher the reward is. To work for higher-level agents an appropriate standing is required – which is an indicator of confidence of your agent / his factionwith you. The standing can be raised by just accepting and running accessible missions. For a higher reward for the mission it is needed to pump skills from the group of Social skills (connections, military connections), also you’ll need a high charisma. In addition to money (Eve Online ISK), for execution of missions you will also receive loyalty points (LP) – points for which you can get different bonuses from the agent, from implants to drawings.
It’s better to run agent mission on ships “Raven” and “Dominic” – but these ships are not quite accessible for rookie players. Earnings in low-sec are higher – but working there is correspondingly more dangerous.
Agents are easy to find – they are located at stations – just open the Agents tab in the station menu you (except for agents, giving the COSMOS-missions with a very high reward; they are located in the depths of space on their own ships). The mission you’ll get depends on the type and the job of an Agent, there are several varieties of agent missions. You may get a job from military, secure, administration NPCs. Most often the job involves destruction of some enemies. Such missions are very profitable, but the ones from high-level agents may be very complex, and not every player will cope with them on his own.
There is an NPC, giving the job to transport goods between different stations. It is not a very profitable mission – but not dangerous, best for smaller groups of players and transport ships. There are also the so-called RD-agents, the reward for their research mission is drawings which may often be more valuable than money (ISK).

In Eve, there are three types of turrets: Projectile (firing projectiles), Hybrid and Energy (energy turrets). These three groups of turrets are also divided into two subgroups – for melee and ranged combat. There are also racial preferences for the type of turrets: Minmatars uses Projectile turrets, Caldari and Gallente choose the Hybrid type, and Amarrians prefer Energy turrets. A player can learn the skills for any type, but it is reasonably to train for the racial turrets, and use them on racial ships, as they usually have bonuses to the use of turrets.

Projectile
These weapons are characterized by their little damage. They are most effective against armor, because Projectile ammunition commonly deals kinetic or explosive damage to the target. The big advantage of these turrets is that they require no energy to work, they can shoot, even in the state of defense. Long-range (Artilleries) guns do more damage, but recharge for a long time as well. For short-range combat they are virtually useless, you need to use Auto-Cannons, who shoot more often and less often need to recharge.

Hybrid
Hybrid weapons are perfectly balanced by damage and requirements to the ship. They suit both against the shield, and the armor. Long-range Railguns can fire from a very great distance and cause serious damage. Though, in a close-range battle Blasters, at the optimum distance for them, will inflict even greater damage.

Energy
Energy lasers inflict good damage, but are highly dependent on energy. But they do not need ammunition and reloading. Long-range Laser Turrets – Beam Lasers are good at quite a distance and inflict great damage, but they are ineffective in the case of a melee. For short-range Pulse Lasers woudl suit better – though they may not be used as close as projectile or hybrid weapons, thus they are rather suitable for medium distances.

In the game, there are skills which you can only see in the character sheet, if you turn the filter to display absolutely all the skills. It is currently impossible to get those skills neither on the market nor among contracts. Since they do exist, it is possible to conclude that they might be soon included into the game, maybe with the next patch. Here’s the list of such skills with details on them:

Genetic Engineering – allows to create hybrids of machines and living organisms. Makes it possible to use DNA mutators. It is very likely that this skill is somehow connected with the hidden Jovian race. This skill might bring some new elements into the game.

Gunnery Interfaces – a skill to manage the ship’s turrets, enables the use of powerful implants in the body, which will positively affect the combat capacibities of the character. This ability is fairly useful, although similar one are already there.

DED Connections – it is the ability to convincingly communicate with units of Concord (‘DED’). The main purpose of this communication is to obtain a higher reward for the murder of a pirate. Gives up to 1,500 ISK per killed pirate. As we can judge by the amount, this skill make very little sense, when (if) it is available, and perhaps will only be useful for beginners.

There are also other mysterious skills that are allowed by the game, but generally are not indexed, they are not listed in the Eve database, they cannot be bought. The only possibility at all to learn about them – is the character sheet.
An example of such a skill, is the skill Duplicating Rank. It is seen in the charater sheet under Science section. Another skill – Hypernet Science – can also only be found under the same section.

Generally, the skill tree in EVE Online is quite large and seriously worked out, but because the game still cannot be considered not fully completed, and as it still evolves, and new content, not only eve ships, is periodically added, there is always a possibility for a broader character leveling.
